Our charming guest house in the heart of vineyards and orchards is ideally located to share the beauty of the perched villages of the Luberon such as Gordes and the famous Abbaye de Sénanque, Roussillon and the Ocher trail, Ménerbes and the Maison de la Truffe and du Vin, Oppède-le-Vieux and the ruins of the feudal castle, Fontaine-de-Vaucluse and its source or even Bonnieux and the Bakery Museum. You can also enjoy many activities throughout the summer. The surrounding villages and towns reveal unique landscapes in the heart of Provence. Discover Avignon

About 45 minutes from our guest house with swimming pool at the gates of Gordes, is the magnificent city of the Popes: Avignon. City of history, art, culture and shows, Avignon will seduce you with its many facets. Don't miss the Palais des Papes built in the 14th century and the famous Pont d'Avignon. The Calvet Museum brings together many collections of paintings, sculptures, drawings and decorative arts. Other museums are worth a visit: that of the Petit Palais, the Lapidary Museum, the Angladon Museum, as well as the Lambert Collection. Don't miss the famous Avignon Festival in July. This is the largest theater and live performance event in the world.

Isle-sur-la-Sorgue

World capital of flea markets and antiquities, nicknamed "Comtadine's Venice", go to the town of Isle-sur-la-Sorgue. Visit one of the seven antique dealer villages where you will find more than 350 antique dealers and bric-a-brac dealers. Leave with a souvenir of the region by strolling the streets of Isle-sur-la-Sorgue.

Outdoor activities

The region is renowned for the many activities to do in the heart of nature, to be carried out with the family, between sportsmen, alone or as a couple. The must-sees in the region are the beautiful walks and superb hikes in the Monts du Vaucluse and the Luberon, the Calavon cycle route, climbing to the top of Mont Ventoux and a kayak trip on the Sorgue.

Provencal specialties

To taste the specialities, vegetables and fruits of local sun-kissed producers, go to the markets of the region. We also advise you to take one of the many wine routes to discover the know-how of the region's winegrowers. In July, don't miss the lavender fields in full bloom.

A little further

If you go a little further, you can discover new landscapes and new scents. Pass through the Alpilles with Saint-Rémy-de-Provence and Baux-de-Provence, renowned throughout the world for its Carrières de Lumières. Also discover the Camargue with Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer, marshes and wildlife. Make a passage through the Phocaean City and the Calanques of Marseille. Taste the famous calissons while passing through Aix-en-Provence.
